Kaliningrad Federal Cardiac Center, Kaliningrad, Northwestern Federal District
The inhabitants of Kaliningrad, formerly Königsberg, celebrated 750 years of existence in 2005. This unusual Russian port city is an enclave between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea. Until the end of WWII, it formed the northern part of East Prussia. Largely destroyed during WWII, its ruins were captured by the Soviet Army in 1945.
